What if?

Open by Stephen DaLuz

What if there was nothing wrong with you?

Nothing to be fixed, nothing to be improved upon?

Just you with your history of your joys and your griefs, your pleasures and your pains, of dreams not realised and actions regretted.

And none of it was wrong or bad.
Just the map of your very human life.

And what if the pains and the sorrows were not mistakes to be met with blame or shame?
What if these events that you’ve pushed away, made wrong and bad-
What if it was exactly these things that were designed to lead you away from the known contours of your mind
away from the shiny lights and sparkly baubles
away from any concept about who you are and how the world is?

What if your pain and your suffering are gateways through to the centre of your being, your place of mystery and of your highest intelligence?

What if nothing is as you believe?
Most of all who you imagine yourself to be?

What if?
